The Athenian Τrireme (5th c. B.C.Ε.)

The best known ancient Greek oared warship that ruled over Eastern Mediterranean for many centuries. Fast and flexible, with a ram (embolon) fitted on the prow, it attacked successfully the enemy vessels.

Total crew 210 men; 170 of them were oar-men.
